Why we can do this and most cannot

Every price on this site is built in the open — metal weight at the day's rate, plus stones, plus the goldsmith's making charge. You can see the breakdown on every product page. That means a comparison is a real calculation, not a guess, and we are happy to have it.

What like-for-like means

So that we are comparing the same thing:

the same metal purity — 18K against 18K, 925 silver against 925 silver;
a comparable net metal weight;
comparable stone weight and clarity grade;
a seller who is actually in stock, with a published price, and who will give you a hallmarked piece.
